In the four compartments we see:

1) Christ: among the Doctors – Joseph, wearing hat, and Virgin Mary, veiled, holding book with clasp in draped right hand, emerge from frame. Within frame, youthful Christ, crossed pearled nimbus, right hand raised, book in left hand, is seated on bench above group of seated doctors, some wearing hats and gloves, some gesturing, one holding book with pseudo-inscriptions.

2) Christ: Betrayal and Arrest, and Apostle, Peter: cutting off ear of Malchus – Apostle Peter, tonsured, sword in right hand, cuts off ear of Malchus, on ground. Judas embraces Christ, crossed pearled nimbus, right hand raised, book in left hand. He is flanked by two soldiers on left, wearing mail, one raising lantern, and two male figures on right, one wearing hat, the other wearing kerchief. The later holds a club in right hand and grabs Christ’s garment.

3) Christ: Flagellation – Christ, crossed pearled nimbus, wearing long loin cloth, body covered with sores, hands bound by rope to column, is flanked by two tormentors. One tormentor raises scourge. The second tormentor, wearing winged headgear, raises withes.

4) Christ: bearing Cross – Christ, crossed pearled nimbus, wearing long loin cloth, carries cross on shoulder, flanked by two male figures. One figure, wearing cap, holds scourge. The other figure, wearing winged headdress, leads him by rope.
