Warboys Archeology

Hello and welcome to the website of Ramsey Abbey Community Project.

RACP is a volunteer organisation whose main purpose is the archaeological investigation of the site formerly occupied by Ramsey Abbey.

Although there is mention of the Abbey and its workings in the archives there is no record of the layout nor indeed the position. We hope to make addition to the knowledge base.

All the archaeological investigations carried out can be found
The Pilgrims Trail, the places and buildings where remnants or artefacts of Ramsey Abbey can be seen, can be downloaded here

The Booklet accompanying the Exhibition ‘Treasures of Ramsey Abbey’ is now available see here The booklet is available from Pet Havens 36-38 Great Whyte, Ramsey, Huntingdon PE26 1HA or direct from us.

The findings grouped by era can be found under the menu item ‘Archaeology of the Site”

This page is gradually being linked to the Warboys Archeology Groups findings over the last three years at Ramsey Abbey. This was a three year project funded by the National Lottery Fund to try to discover once and for all the actual whereabouts and footprint size of Ramsey Abbey.
