These photographs were taken in September 2017 at the V&A Museum London. We were given a special viewing of the Censer and were allowed to handle it using gloves. It was a strange feeling knowing that this beautiful object which was made over 700 years ago, was still in fantastic condition, even after being submerged in Whittlesey Mere for at least 300 years.
