These photos show the front Entrance to Hinchingbrooke House, it is said that this was removed from Ramsey Abbey by Henry Cromwell and re-erected, where it stands now, to provide a more imposing entrance to the magnificent House. This Gatehouse however, differs from the 1730 plate, which shows it with a roof and upper floor and only one small arched door.  Click on this link to see
