The photos shown above are taken in the present Kitchen, it shows the massive 15th Century Fireplace built using Barnack stone. From the Quarries at Barnack near Stamford.
This plan shows the extent of the earliest part of Bodsey House consisting of a long stone range of the late 13th century, some 47ft. x 15 ft. internally, running north and south which was probably built when the hermitage became a rest centre.
